High-voltage 2-in-1 charging station VAS 681 005

This MID-approved charging station enables combined AC/DC charging of electric vehicles outdoors. The AC charging connection is enabled via a Type 2 connector version. The DC charging connection consists of a CCS connector with attached, 3 m long cable. The charging station is pre-configured and supplied with a SIM card (LTE) so that connection to the Elli backend system is guaranteed.
When selecting a location, please consider the possibility of a stable LTE connection. If no LTE is available, additional measures may be necessary (changeover to LAN or external LTE aerial).
These measures must be implemented independently.
We recommend laying a duplex network cable (CAT 7) as well as the power supply cable for each charging station/home charging station.
If not used, the charging connector is automatically locked. It is only unlocked again after RFID-based authentication. The high-voltage charging station is not suitable as a mobile charging point.

Billing:
The special MID-approved electricity meter offers MID-approved billing options for Germany. This charging station can therefore be used in publicly accessible areas in Germany and the kW/h can be billed accurately.
For MID-approved billing, the use of a suitable backend is required. The Elli backend is expected to enable the public charging and MID-approved billing function from Q4/2020.

- Measurement and Verification Acts
- Billing
- Minimum technical requirements for safe and interoperable design and operation of publicly accessible charging points for electric vehicles
- Please take into account the required maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Note on the Elli backend:
After on-site installation of the charging station, a connection to the Elli backend is established via the built-in SIM card. Commissioning via an app is not necessary.
The charging station can be operated using the RFID cards included in the scope of delivery (and other RFID cards).
To use the ""Elli Charging Site Management"" Elli software, registration with Elli is required. See the Elli brief guide included in the scope of delivery.

Recommended accessories:
The high-voltage charging station can either be stood on the floor or optionally secured on a concrete base VAS 681 005/1.
