Due to further development of our vehicles and the use of many new control units, it has become necessary for a number of the control units, especially on Audi vehicles, to be connected to a different pin of the diagnosis socket on the vehicle side.
In order to allow the exchange of data with all control units (VAS 5051 - only with 3m diagnosis leads - and VAS 5052), the relevant diagnosis lead must be fitted to a K lead switch.
The new K lead switch VAS 6017 B is required for the Audi A4 2005>, in particular, and allows access to the CAN bus installed in the vehicle.
The new K lead switch VAS 6017 B is compatible with reverse flow and replaces
previously used K lead switches VAS 6017/6017A.

A - Attempting to address
While an attempt is made to address the control unit, the yellow LED will light up. As soon as the control unit responds, the yellow LED will go out and the relevant green LED (K1 and K2) will light up.
