Socket wrench set VAS 262 013

The 21-piece socket wrench set is a universal, multi-functional aid designed for the flexible requirements of daily workshop use.

This forward-looking set includes both long and short bit inserts, various socket bits, inserts, adapters and a ratchet ring spanner.

The small, short ratchet design makes it possible to work in tight spaces. Two ratchets also come with angles of 15° and 30° and feature a square holder for the torque wrench.

The multipoint bolt ball head bit inserts are another special feature of the set. These are an intelligent solution that has been patented by Volkswagen and is therefore not commercially available. The shape of the ball head enables the tool to be fixed to the bolt at an angle and also makes secure engagement possible.

Various processes are simplified and shortened with this tool because surrounding components do not or no longer need to be removed. This includes, e.g.:
•Installation and removal of the coolant pump on the EA288evo
•Installation and removal of the toothed belt drive on the EA288evo
•Installation and removal of various heat shields on the EA288 Bi-Turbo
•Installation and removal of the intake manifold
•Installation and removal of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler

In general, the multipoint bolt bit insert is used frequently and is therefore a safe investment in the future.
